The Delta County Democratic Party was awarded the prestigious and highly sought after “Most Patriotic” award on July 4, 2024 at Paonia’s Cherry Days Parade. As if that wasn’t enough, the Delta Dems also took home the “Best Political Float” award. “It was good fun” said Co-Chair Jeff Skeels when asked how he felt about the parade in Paonia on our Country’s Independence Day.

“We have a small crew but, we still deliver every year”. Skeels noted this is the second year in a row that the Delta Dems have been awarded a prize in the Cherry Days Parade. “We’re really happy to keep the streak alive” he proudly stated as he lifted the canopy of the Delta Dems Booth in preparation for a day of meeting and greeting fellow Dems and Unaffiliated Voters who will stop by the crowded Delta Dems Booth. The Delta Dems continue to represent the Democratic Party in the North Fork Valley.

Let’s give them a big round of applause.
